New Daddy is between work projects (but still billable!), and he got to paint our bedroom last week. Poppy came over last weekend and trimmed it out. There's just something about getting your own colors, the ones you picked out, on the wall. It makes your room, your room. And it is very nice, indeed. And it is especially nice to get the furniture back against the wall.
(Before and after pics will be posted after I get my computer fixed. Still on the mactop. My computer's green light on the back just flashes when you plug it in. It doesn't even turn on when you hit the power button. Something definitely happened in between our old house and our new one.)
New Daddy also found some roman shades on clearance at Lowe's, so those went in our bedroom, too. The metal mini-blinds were getting a little, ahem, aged. The ones in the kids' room still look pretty trashy from the front of the house, where the edges have been bent back by little, or maybe not-so-little hands. At least it makes it easier to spy on the neighbors. Those blinds are another project for another-- month.
For now, I'm very pleased with the progress!
