Tell me again

Lately, Precious' bedtime Bible reading has been going something like this: I'll select a scripture to read from the King James version, and she looks at the pictures in the Golden Children's Bible while I read. A few days ago, I coordinated the two, and showed her the picture of Jesus dying on the cross (p. 453) while I read to her the crucifixion from Matthew 27.

Tonight, Precious showed New Daddy the same picture. "He got a big boo boo," she told him.

"Yes, that was the boo boo we should have gotten, but he took it for us," New Daddy replied.

"He died for my sins," she continued. Then, she looked at New Daddy, "He died for your sins." And then, she pointed to me, "He died for your sins, Mommy."

Out of the mouth of a babe, something I can never hear enough.
