Celebrating Bubby

Bubby's first birthday party was Saturday. His major present was a lifetime Georgia sportsman's license, which several folks donated towards. These are really expensive for adults, but only $200 for folks under 2 years old. So, we chose the theme of the party based on that: fishing. And, it turns out, this was just the sort of party that New Daddy loves to throw! Or cast.

The location was a local park with a small lake that's open to fisherfolks. It was also open to a couple of little league football games; it was very crowded. Thankfully, the picnic pavilion was screened and latticed in, and was on a shady bank overlooking the lake; that way, we didn't feel like the fish in a bowl, ourselves. This nice little bank was our fishing spot.

Since Uncle B took most of the pictures, and I could only get a few from my sleep-deprived sister, I'll post what I have and wait for the rest to appear on their Picasa site (wink wink).

L- The Big Cake, decorated by Sister Sue
R- The budding football fan- er, icing smearer

L- Precious with New Daddy doing what he loves, and probably something that she'll be able to tolerate a lot better than her mommy.
R- Our buddy Z, showing off his bluegill.
