Doo doo

Lest we be crass, let me get to the point: Precious did No. 2 in the potty this morning!!! If it weren't a little {bleh}, I would have photographed it and posted it, I'm so proud of her!

We had a couple of unsuccessful attempts at pottying last week, and I had almost decided to hang it up. But, this morning, when she started straining, I had to run her to the bathroom just to see if it would happen. And it happened, at 13.5 months!! Wheeeee!!

~here comes the TTUAC soapbox again~
Chapter 11 of To Train Up a Child talks about "potty un-training." The advice works, especially for children whom we think might not be cognizant of what their bowels are doing. For children who are on the older (and more stubborn) end of potty training, it also offers some pretty wild, but practical advice, too :).

The weekend
Saturday was incredibly relaxing, for a change! We sat around the house, New Daddy worked on his web projects and an outdoor project, and I slowly accomplished things I'd been needing to do all week. Fire in the fireplace all day. Very Relaxing. Even gave myself the night off with take-out Mellow Mushroom pizza. Yum.

Sunday was an Alabama day :). We had a lunch get-together for a brother from Honduras who'll be leaving soon. He came to the States to work, completely paid for his house in Honduras (!), and will be returning to his wife and three small children in a couple of weeks. He would sing specials in Spanish for us, and they were always so beautiful and annointed! We also took website pictures of about everyone in the church; New Daddy has pretty much finished the design, and is working on the content in his spare time.
