This child...

We're finding that our youngest never meets a stranger.

At the beach at Thanksgiving, he zipped down the beach to chat with some people.  He stayed just long enough for Mimi and I to look at each other and ask, "Do you think we should go over there so that they know that he's not an orphan?"

And at that point, he returned, beaming, and declared, "They LOVE me!!!"

And that's just an example.  Everywhere we go, there's this assumption that whoever is new is absolutely thrilled to meet his acquaintance and have a little chat with him.

Last night, at the local Asian restaurant, the waiter walked up. Before he could ask for our drink order, Tater blurted out, "We're here for sushi!"

"Oh, you like sushi?" the mildly grinning, surprised waiter inquired (still waiting on the drink order).

"YES!  We want some (pause to make sure he was saying "sushi" correctly) sushi!"

"Okay, and do you know what you want to drink?"

(quick glance at mama) "Uh... water!"

And so on.  You never know what he'll talk to a stranger about.  Yesterday, because there was Super Candy at Home Depot, it was a super-hero demonstration for the cashier.  You just never know.
