How the 2015 stomach virus went down at our house

We all sack out in the living room together.  Everyone is cuddly, unless someone needs to throw up.  Then, we shove a stainless steel mixing bowl under the sickened person's chin and hold them at arm's length.  Flushing the toilet and washing my hands countless times.  Hands are starting to crack.

Load after load of laundry for oopsies and coming down with a virus during naps and in the middle of the night.  The old pillow that became a target goes to the trash.  Tater is back in diapers until things solidify.

Tater stands up in the middle of the living room at 2 AM, awakening me from a deep sleep by yelling, "I NEED MILK!"  And then he goes to the kitchen, gulps down random glasses of water that were sitting out on the counter, and vomits all of the water up five minutes later.

Setting the timer for fifteen minutes in between spoonfuls of milk (raw, of course) and kombucha.  Kombucha jello-- not a terribly popular choice, but seemed like a good way to get probiotics and gelatin in one little cube.

Rubbing the fevered ones (who have advanced past vomiting) down with Green Pasture beauty balm to keep their Vitamin A levels up.

Fewer dishes, because half the family isn't eating.  Except for spoons.  We keep running out of spoons when everyone gets a spoonful of this-and-that to keep their stomachs from being overwhelmed.  It's going to be a truly sad day at our house when we run out of measuring spoons, too.

"Tater, don't do it that way!" were Bubby's words of advice to his younger brother.

And thankfully, we'd just put up bookshelves before this mess started, or our living room wouldn't have been uncluttered enough for us to sprawl out on the floor.

All that said... now that no one is throwing up anymore, I think I'll try sleeping in my own bed tonight!  I could use more than two hours of sleep lumped together right now.

Yuck, doesn't sound fun at all! You're such a good mommy, camping out with your children, and knowing just which supplements to give them :)
I need to start a "new mommy" blog now!
