A typical church service

Last night, the kids asked me to tell a story of what they did during church. And telling this story made me realize how amusing they are when they entertain themselves quietly. This is what happened last night.

Cutie busied herself with a lacing card. She unlaced the cards and made necklaces out of them. During the song service, she sat with Precious in her lap as her baby.

Precious took a gel pen apart and smeared the ink on paper to get her hands clean. She also drew smiley faces with missing teeth. She usually writes "Mom I love you" notes, but not last night. Instead, she hid inside her dress for a few minutes, but I made her get out and show her head again.

After Bubby browsed completely through the toddler Bible, he took a lace from the lacing cards and had adventures with it as a snake. It coiled up, swung from his hand, hid in my sweater sleeve (the "cave"), squeezed a mouse and an egg to eat, and slithered back and forth over his legs.

Ah, gotta love imagination!
