I didn't ruin things for Fluffy, after all! We went out this morning and found the first chick under her, all fluffed out. It's another splash- Fluffy's baby. We also spotted a crack in egg #2. The second one hatched around 4 PM this afternoon, and it's a blue- Honey's baby. Genders... we'll know in about four months, if/when they crow, or not. Females stay in the coop; males go on Craigslist.
As for egg #3, I'm probably going to hold with the "last one's a rotten egg"... which would be the egg that didn't have the goods to begin with.
