Last Saturday, New Daddy took the tarp off the Orpingtons' tractor, attached a hinged roof, some flashing for a roof cap, and a cutaway bucket for a laying box. He also strung up the water with a bungee cord so that I don't have to have an act of Congress to move the tractor.
Life is good for these gals! Now, I just to teach them where the eggs go, after letting them put the eggs anywhere they please for the past four months.
Now that we've gotten the tractor all fixed up, we're looking for a rooster to protect the gals while they graze.
