Well, rats! As it turned out, I needed $1700 of work (which, thankfully, insurance is still picking up most of). I know that the tooth decay protocols work, but I should have started it all sooner. Oh, well. The purse is a bit lighter, and the mouth is a little sore, but I'm not much worse for the wear.
I'll keep taking my butter oil as long as I'm nursing, and then at least once a week after that. And I'm sure that I'll stick with the regular cleanings, now that we've found a dentist we can trust. Hopefully that, plus the better nutrition, will prevent future problems.
