The one thing

This is the one thing that I want to remember about this Halloween. Besides how incredibly adorable our Pirate Princess, Davey Crockett, and Snow White were...

(our main camera is in the shop-- ahem)

Tonight, we took the kids on a short jaunt around our part of the neighborhood. Then, we came home and turned on our porch light. I cooked supper while Precious and Cutie greeted the steady stream of candy-seekers (with a very clear line of sight from the stove to the front door). We had bought a bag of assorted chocolate, and the kids had gotten candy last night. When our chocolate started to run out, Precious wanted to fill the bowl with their own bags of candy from the previous night.

I was awestruck by the fact that the children preferred giving their candy to others over hoarding it. Precious wanted to keep people coming to her door, giving them her own candy.

Now, isn't that something to remember?
