Onward with the house

The exterior has been nearly finished (minus a little trim) for a little over a month, now; so it was time to start a new project. We've decided to take the steps towards finishing the basement. And the first step is to replace the polybutylene plumbing a bit at a time.

New Daddy just walked in the door with $250 worth of plumbing supplies. The estimate we got from a well-known pipe replacement company in the area was around $3,000, so we decided to do it ourselves. We'll bring in a drywall person to patch up the walls from the plumbing and finish the basement area all at the same time.

After the plumbing, we'll need to run duct work down there, and then do some wiring. There was also a little bit of mildew on some boxes when I went to clear the basement, so we probably need to bring in a foundation repair person.

A lot of steps, slowly taken, but we'll get there eventually.

Don't you love being a DIY-er?! It may be a slower process, but it's a learning one too... :)

Love y'all.
