Cotton Mill and Fellowship Meeting

We had planned to make one big trip to Carrollton today, but what we we ended up doing instead was getting up early (for a Saturday) and running to the Cotton Mill Farmer's Market. Then, we came back home, where Uncle B and Aunt Mo met us for lunch. Then, we headed back to Carrollton for the fellowship meeting. All of the driving wasn't that bad, especially since New Daddy doesn't have to drive very much during the week :).

The Cotton Mill Market was really neat! It was small, but I was very pleased with our purchases. Everything was organically and locally grown, and here's what we got: a head of cabbage for $3, four tomatoes for $4, a bar of goat milk soap for $3, a bunch of salad greens for $2, a bunch of oregano for $1, and some garlic bulbs for $2. Not a bad deal! I'll be making a "spinach" and tomato stromboli early next week with my purchases. Only instead of spinach, I'll be using the salad greens. They looked a little tougher than plain ol' lettuce, so I think they'll hold up pretty well in the pizza crust.

The fellowship meeting was wonderful. New Daddy and Uncle B sang "Nearer, My God, to Thee", and it was just beautiful. Their voices blend so well! And, of course, it was great to fellowship with so many folks that we haven't seen in a while. Precious had a blast trying to keep up with all of the older children. It was also really nice to get home before dark!
