Precious has discovered several alternate ways to play with her Aqua Doodle. I showed her how to "paint" her hand with the water pen, and then put it down on the panel to make a stamp of her hand. She loved the idea from the start and started "bleeding!" all sorts of appendages. Yesterday, I found her imprinting her knee. She also likes to stack the shapes.
Precious has also started priding herself in going to the big potty all by herself. I have been banned from the bathroom! At first, she was hoisting herself up to the big potty. Once I realized that this was going to be a permanent change, I transferred her little potty to the bathroom. It becomes a stool with the lid down, so now, she uses that to get to the big potty.
New Daddy grew up in the SC low country. The climate there was a lot better for his skin. Since he moved to Atlanta eight years ago, he has constantly battled cracking lips in the winter, and even joked about his "fangs." Though, most of the time, it's been more uncomfortable than it's been a joke. Last week, I decided to find something that works and Googled "chronically dry lips." I came up with some balms and other stuff. Then, I remembered the Miracle Salve that I had gotten from Beeyoutiful. He tried it, and it works! It's nice to have found something that gives him real relief!
Our kiddie bike trailer came in yesterday. We gave it a whirl around the neighborhood this morning. First of all, this would have been impossible if New Daddy wasn't working from home! Second of all, it's really nice to get out after everyone has left for work, but when it's still cool outside! The babies looked so cute in the trailer, but I'll have to get a picture another time. We're hoping we can do this often.
P.S. My Aunt Peg sent me a link about Solar Roadways, and I've added it to "Random Fun Stuff" on the right.
