Precious is all about doing everything by herself these days, and she doesn't mind letting me know. Here are two examples:
1) Overheard, loudly, from the potty: "Mommy, don't wipe me. I do it myself!" (This is also applicable to any other "skill" that she might possess.)
--And then, today's example--
2) She was sharing her walnuts with me. After she verified that I would like a walnut ("You want one?" "Yes, please."), it fell on the floor during the exchange. I retrieved it and thanked her for the walnut.
"You're welcome," she replied. "I dropped it myself."
