A week of gross

So, remember the chicken that died a couple of months ago?  Well, in some recent rains, Rosie started sniffing around the yard.  On Day 1, she discovered that chicken.  And slowly excavated it over days 2 and 3.  She ate her favorite parts (the feet, entrails, wings, and legs) and decided to save the rest for later.  By Day 4, It was starting to attract turkey vultures.  The other chickens found it and started eating on it (yuh-huck) on Day 5.  Rosie chased them away at first, and then left them alone.  She probably realized that they were performing an act of charity.  Finally, on Day 6, she went out and finished chewing the rest of the bones, which was all that was left at that point.

So, I guess the point of this post is, dogs do weird things sometimes.  Aren't you glad you're not eating right now? (hopefully)
