Pear Clafouti

Thanks to Mark Bittman's How to Cook Everything, I prepared this ditty for dessert tonight. I'm trying to learn how to make "artsy" food shots from Aunt Ma. ;)

Marie was telling me about that cook book. I looked at the library for it but couldn't find it. I have a birthday next month and may let that be my request. I don't think a woman can have too many cook books.

This was my first cookbook as a married gal, and I must say that I don't really need any others, though Nourishing Traditions is right up there with it. Give me these two, and I'm set!

WOW--that's a beautiful photo!

(Umm--and I didn't teach you anything... lol... not that I know of...)

And being that my cookbook collection, if stacked together on the floor, is beginning to reach my forehead...lol... and I just bought Nourishing Traditions... **and** I'm thinking about buying the New JOY-- I'm thinking that a woman CAN, if obsessed, have too many cookbooks... lol!

--But then, the way Sharon feels about her How to Cook Everything is the way I feel about the '95 edition of Joy.

--Gotta try that recipe.

Okay, Marie, so you were my inspiration, not necessarily my tutor :D. I did learn to get "on the level" from your photos for a better shot.
